Spring of autumn in Egypt; 2011
MIDDLE EAST/ AFRICA

Anarchy is the only slight glimmer of hope, as said by English singer, writer, and producer Mick Jagger.
This is what was really happened to the Egypt and to the other Arab countries in the fervor of the 2011 Arab Uprisings or Arab Spring, changing name from the uprisings to spring brought no spring and flowers but an autumn that still rakes them!
New York Times Cairo's bureau chief, David D. KrickPatrick book , Into the Hands of the Soldiers: Freedom and Chaos in Egypt and the Middle East, analyzes how the after the self immolation of a Tanizian vendor in 2010, Mohammed Bouazizi, jolted the whole Middle East and the Arab countries specially.
The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who ruled the country with an iron fist resigned from the Office after 30 years dictatorial rule in 2011 after mass protests in the country.

The military temporarily took over the control of the country and in the general elections of 2012 a Muslim Brotherhood leader, Mohammed Morsi, was elected as the president of Egypt in the first general elections since Hosni Mubarak into power and fall. But military and the liberal circles of the country did not tolerate him and his government was toppled after one year in July 2013.
A retired military general and politician, Abdel Fateh el-sisi, took the Office then. He cracked down on protestors and Muslim Brotherhoods crushing them in a bloody way.
David D. Kirkpatrick was assigned to Cairo bureau just six months before this revolution where he saw both the protesters and military atrocities against them.
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama and his team advised the Hosni Mubarak government to tackle the protesters, economic and political issues judiciously avoiding any type of bloodbath and violence, Hosni Mubarak televised call for dialogue with protesters and economic and political reforms failed resulting in the ouster of him from the government.
Henceforth, a new era of controlling, violence, and muffling began shattering all hopes of freedom, democracy and of course, of Spring and Flowers as well!!!!
